As seen on TV

Cake Flour on east market is one of my favorite stops for cinnamon rolls and macaroons all made with natural and organic ingredients made daily. I recently added the chocolate flourless cake to that list after seeing an episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate Cakes on the Food Network. I had to see what all the fuss was about so Justin and I decided to swing by and grab one of these decadent little cakes and see for ourselves if this was the best cake ever. It was everything they said it would be and more! What's not to love? It's rich, delicious, and chocolate ganachey!
I have to say that I'm a convert and the chocolate flourless cake is my new favorite cake in Louisville!

Death By Cookie

Most people refer to this city gem when talking about good beer and shows, but I've discovered that they know cookies as well as they know music! The Death Cookie for $4.95 at Zanzabar is my new guilty pleasure. It's an insanely perfect dessert that I have to eat at least once a week. When the waitress sees me she just says "Death Cookie?" and I nod. The chocolate chip cookie is baked in an iron skillet giving the edges the perfect amount of crispiness. The middle of the cookie is melty, gooey, goodness. Combine that with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you've got one hell of a flavor explosion. I'm salivating just thinking of it! Next time your out and your girl says "Let's get dessert." Head to Zanzabar where the atmosphere is good, the music is loud, and the cookie is amazing.

Simple Goodness

I know that this is an Eat Louisville blog, but some of the culinary creations across the river are just too good to not talk about. The New Albanian Brewing Company also known as Rich O's off of Grant line road in New Albany, Indiana is a true gem. Their selection of beer is amazing and always greatly priced and their food is simple goodness. Throw in a great atmosphere and you've got a local watering hole full of happy people!

Photographed above are a few of my favorite Rich O's treats. Beak's Best ESB, Spinach Kase Dip (the spicy beer cheese dip), and their famous roundhouse pepperoni pizza with a crust to die for!
So next time you're craving beer and pizza check this place out. I'm sure you'll love it.

Cups and Coffee

At 306 W. Woodlawn Sunergos Coffee has just opened its second shop this week! Photographed above is a cup of black, medium roast cup of Sunergos coffee at the new shop. Simply the best coffee in the city.

Boy O' Boy

My husband and I went to a fantastic little corner diner in old Louisville for lunch today called Burger Boy that we have fallen in love with. I walked in and was greeted by one of their owners, RJ. The restaurant feels like home. People come in not for the great food, but to talk to the great people that work and own the place. It's a hodge-podge of Burger Boy lovers; white, black, hispanic, young, and old all seeking the same thing; a delicious burger!

I sat down to a delicious cheeseburger (dressed of course) and jalapeno poppers (YUM!). Justin enjoyed a bison burger with an egg (an old Australian favorite of his). In my opinion this is the best cheeseburger in Louisville! So if you're in Old Louisville near the corner of Brook and Burnett stop in and enjoy! I promise you won't be disappointed!
